Caroline Manzo's Real Housewives days are done. The Bravo star, 52, confirmed on Sunday, Oct. 13, that she's leaving The Real Housewives of New Jersey after five seasons -- news first revealed exclusively by Us Weekly in late September.
Manzo announced her decision on Twitter after part two of the show's reunion special, telling her 696,600 followers: "It's been wonderful, guys. I've decided to leave #RHONJ. This season was my last. Love and kisses to you all. xoxoxo."
She also included a link to her Bravo blog, where she explained her reasons for leaving. "Over the past couple of years, Bravo and I have had numerous conversations regarding my position on Housewives, and they accept and understand where I'm coming from," she began.
"When we started filming Housewives so long ago, [my husband] Al made me promise him one thing. He said, 'Just be yourself and have fun with it,'" Manzo wrote. "I've always prided myself on giving you the truth of who I really am, the good, the bad, and the ugly."
She went on to say that the series had evolved from something she "couldn't wait to show [her] future grandchildren" to something she hoped her future grandchildren would never see. "For me, peace and integrity cannot be bought with money or fame," she said. "I simply feel that my role has run its course and I have nothing more to give."
Manzo won't be disappearing from the spotlight completely, though. As previously reported, she recently filmed a pilot for her own Bravo spinoff, Manzo'd With Children. If the show is picked up, she wrote, viewers will get "a very different look into the world of the Manzo family."
"We are having an absolute blast filming it, and I hope you all join us as we start our new chapter within the Bravo network," she said. "We didn't close the book, we just turned the page."
The tough-talking mother of three was one of RHONJ's original cast members when it debuted back in 2009. Although plans for season six have yet to be revealed, her sister-in-law Jacqueline Laurita and Teresa Giudice are the only women who remain from that inaugural season; by the end of season two, fellow Housewives Dina Manzo (Caroline's younger, estranged sister) and Danielle Staub had both departed. Current cast members (at press time) also include Giudice's sister-in-law Melissa Gorga and cousin Kathy Wakile.

Sufjan Stevens Writes Open Letter to Miley Cyrus Correcting Her Grammar, Not Her Image

It seems that any and all celebrities are more than ready to weigh in on spotlight stealer Miley Cyrus these days. The 20-year-old former Disney star has been the go-to conversation topic since her infamous August 2013 VMA performance and all that followed, including her naked "Wrecking Ball" video, among other highlights.
Cyrus has been critiqued savagely by fellow stars -- most recently rocker Sinead O'Connor who charged that the controversial singer was being "prostituted" thanks to her envelope-pushing performances.
Now indie rocker Sufjan Stevens can add his name to the list of celebs offering Cyrus advice. The "Come On! Feel The Illinoise!" singer surprisingly did not comment on Cyrus' wild child persona, but rather some of her inconsistent grammar in the new song "#GetItRight," featured on her Bangerz album.
On his tumblr page, Stevens wrote, "Dear Miley. I can’t stop listening to #GetItRight (great song, great message, great body), but maybe you need a quick grammar lesson. One particular line causes concern: 'I been laying in this bed all night long.' Miley, technically speaking, you’ve been LYING, not LAYING, an irregular verb form that should only be used when there’s an object."
The alternative crooner also noted that the phrase "I been laying in this bed" featured conflicting tenses. "Surely you’ve heard of Present Perfect Continuous Tense (I HAVE BEEN LYING in this bed all night long [hopefully getting some beauty sleep?]). It’s a weird, equivocal, almost purgatorial tense, not quite present, not quite past, not quite here, not quite there."
The overall tone of Stevens' message was comical, and he even seemed to be rooting for Cyrus. The only questionable diss happened in Stevens' last line, "Live brightly before your fire fades into total darkness," implying Cyrus' career isn't an eternal one.

Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt Explain Their "SpeidiShow" Prank

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt trick fans with fake new SpeidiShow.Spencer Pratt and Heidi MontagCredit: Ethan Miller/Getty Images
Years before Miley Cyrus got creative with a foam finger or Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham opted into the porn industry, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt shocked fans of The Hills with their own off-the-wall antics. From Montag's 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day to Pratt's crystal worshipping, the pair always aimed to shock and surprise.
Their latest venture, however, may be their most bizarre yet. One glance at the couple's Twitter feed and fans can see that they're invested in a new reality show they've dubbed SpeidiShow. It's their attempt to reinvent reality television they say. The only problem? The show doesn't actually exist.
Us Weekly spoke exclusively with Montag, 27, and husband Pratt, 30, about their hoax and why they decided to invent the SpeidiShow
"SpeidiShow is just as real as [people's] image of us," Pratt told Us. "People have tried little Twitter tricks, but this is bigger. It's a whole interactive world -- the show, the backstory, the on and offscreen drama, made out of a a huge online collaborative improv game."
The couple relies heavily on social media and their pseudo-show's webpage to garner interest in the faux project. Tons of fans have already told the stars that they love the show, despite the fact that it doesn't exist.
And for the notorious duo, this prank is validation after years of public criticism and judgement.
"For years, we basically have been stuck playing the characters they wrote for us on The Hills," Montag tells Us. "Now fans can help us create new versions of Speidi."
For those still confused by Speidi's trick, Pratt has some wisdom to impart.
"If you get hung up asking is the show real or not, don't bother playing," he said. "It's as real as we collectively say it is."

Paula Patton Talks About Robin Thicke's Anatomy: "Blurred Lines" Brag Is "Accurate"

Paula Patton has been gamely downplaying the controversy surrounding husband Robin Thicke's provocative performance at this year's MTV Video Music Awards and the suggestive nature of his "Blurred Lines" music video, but there is one thing that she has no problem talking about.
In the November issue of Glamour, the Baggage Claim actress calls Thicke's much talked-about video "cool," "funny," and "awesome." One part in particular, in which a balloon message states that "Robin Thicke has a big d--k," has caught the attention of fans.
Asked if the statement was a true one, Patton couldn't resist divulging a bit.
"Robin's like, 'Listen, if I'm, you know, in the Miami Heat's locker room, I don't know where I stand, but …'" she said in the interview. "But I think that the statement is fairly accurate!"

And she should know! Originally high school sweethearts, the couple wed eight years ago and have experienced plenty of ups and downs together. In fact, Thicke revealed in an interview with BBC's Newsbeat, she was the inspiration behind his monster summer jam.
"I don't think people got it," the 36-year-old singer said. "I wrote it about my wife …she's my good girl. And I know she wants it because we've been together for 20 years."
In fact, Patton, 37, did also jokingly mention that Thicke "ruined" her when they first began dating -- starting with their first kiss.
"He sang Jodeci's 'Forever My Lady' to me," she recalled. "He did a full-out R&B onstage performance in his dad's living room. Then he kissed me. It worked!"
"Gosh, I hope I'm still a good girl and a bad girl at the same time," she continued. "And I think that every girl should know the bad girl inside her -- and that doesn't make her bad, you know?"

AshLee Frazier Dating Fellow Bachelor/Bachelorette Alum Michael Garofola!

Bachelor Nation has spawned another love connection! Bachelor alum AshLee Frazier, who made it to the final three during Sean Lowe's season of the ABC series, is dating Bachelorette alum Michael Garofola from Desiree Hartsock's quest for love, the couple confirmed exclusively to Us Weekly.
The duo, who have been seeing each other for a few weeks now, have been happily parading their new romance on Twitter and Instagram. On Friday, Oct. 4, Garofola posted a picture of the two at a Blue Label Vodka event.
"Amazing night with an amazing girl in an above average city," he captioned the sweet shot.
Frazier, 33, was sent packing by Lowe (now engaged to Catherine Giudici) during week nine of The Bachelor's 17th season earlier this year. Her wordless, angry exit was one of the most memorable and dramatic in recent memory -- and her reunion with Lowe at the Women Tell All special wasn't any less awkward.
"He'd been telling me, 'You're going to meet my family. You and my sister are going to be best friends,'" the personal organizer (who also dated Bachelor Brad Womack) told host Chris Harrison in March. "So this whole time, I'm thinking, 'Huh, I got this.' And then all of a sudden I didn't."
Garofola, meanwhile, made headlines during season nine of The Bachelorette when he ruined a two-on-one date with Hartsock and fellow competitor Ben Scott. The two men almost came to blows after Garofola started questioning Scott's real reasons for coming on the show. (Rightly so: The single father later revealed himself to be less than honorable.)
That's all in the past, though. Garofola, who hails from New York, is currently living it up in Miami, Fla. And Frazier recently came out with a personal calendar to help raise money for Parks Youth Ranch, a charity that provides shelter for at-risk, abused, or abandoned teens.

Kate Winslet Reveals Pregnancy Cravings, Jokes She Might Wet Herself at Labor Day Premiere

Listen up, Tropicana! Four months after Kate Winslet's rep confirmed her pregnancy to Us Weekly, the soon-to-be third time mom hit the red carpet at the Oct. 14 BFI London Film Festival premiere of her new movie, Labor Day, where she talked with Us about what she's craving as she prepares to give birth to her first child with husband Ned Rocknroll.
"At the moment I seem to be wanting orange juice a lot," the gorgeous Brit, 38, shared with Us outside Odeon Cinema in London's Leicester Square. "I don't know quite why that is, but it's not so weird. I wish I could tell you I had some weird craving. I wish I could be like that woman on the advert who loves tuna fish and banana, but I'm not like that at all."
In fact, Winslet's third pregnancy -- she's also mom to son Joe, 9, with ex-husband Sam Mendes, and daughter Mia, 13, with ex-husband Jim Threapleton -- has been a relatively smooth one thus far. Asked if it's difficult having to do press while approaching her third trimester, the Oscar winner said, "It's fine, actually. I mean, I've still got a way to go, so I'm not quite waddling."
There is one risk, though. "Just don't let me sneeze, because I might wet myself at the same time," she quipped good-naturedly.
The Mildred Pierce star, stunning in a scarlet-red Jenny Packham gown, also spoke with Us about feeling extra emotional while pregnant. She admitted it was hard to watch Labor Day -- a drama costarring Josh Brolin -- without tearing up.
"I sat down with two friends and watched it the night before it screened in Toronto, and I thought, 'Why am I doing this?' There are some particularly difficult scenes that involve my character and an infant, and I just kinda wanted to run out of the movie theater right away," she explained. "I'm really proud of the movie. It is incredibly moving, but I think I won't watch it again for a little while now."
As previously reported, Winslet is expecting her third child at the end of 2013. She and Rocknroll, the eccentric nephew of billionaire Richard Branson, secretly wed in December 2012.

It's a cross-country fashion face-off! Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Hudson wore the same body-hugging grey Donna Karan frock just one day apart, on Thursday, Oct. 10, and Friday, Oct. 11, though the reality star and the Oscar-winning actress were thousands of miles apart, in Los Angeles and Chicago, respectively.
Kardashian, 32, showed off her post-baby body in the clingy dress while filming a segment for Keeping Up With the Kardashians in West Hollywood on Thursday, pairing the dress with lady-like tan pumps. The reality star played up her curves by wearing the neckline open.
Hudson, on the other hand, went for a more prim and conservative take on the dress, wearing the dress with the neckline more noticeably covered up at the Chicago International Film Festival on Friday, Oct. 11. She kept the rest of her look minimalistic, completing her outfit with strappy black sandals, a gold necklace and her sparkling engagement ring.
"I've never done anything, so that was hard to play this role," the Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete actress said of playing a heroin addict, as Handler looked appalled. "I've never had a drink in my life. I'm sober."
